Mary Owusu – Ghana Union
“It was wonderful. I did enjoy it, I go home every year but it has kind of brought some more memories of the upbeat atmosphere. Ghanaians are generally upbeat and that video…and everybody was enjoying themselves…so great. “I think [the Fairtrade initiative] is a wonderful idea. It’s only fair that the people who are actually doing the work get the chance to benefit from their products.”
Eileen Maybin, The Fairtrade Foundation
“I love the music video. I was lucky enough to be in Ghana when they shot the video and it was really exciting to see how vibrant it was in Ghana. People were really excited and all of that joy of Ghana comes out in the video. It made me feel like a global family and I think that it’s the first time that anybody has done anything like this that will be shot as an ad that will go out to UK television and says so much about a culture and brings people together.”
Samantha Dormer, The Fairtrade Foundation
“I really love the music video. The thing I love the most about the music video is that it is about Ghana. It is just so clearly about Ghanaian culture and Ghanaian music and just bringing you joy from Ghana. And then the second thing that I really like about the video is that so many things in it will make people want to go and find out more about Ghana, more about Cadbury and more about Fairtrade and obviously that is what we want to achieve.”
Reginald Laryea, President of the Advertising Union of Ghana, President of the Ghana Chapter of the International Advertising Association and member of the International Board of the IAA
“I think the music video is great with a lot of thought and craft having gone into its production. Kudos Cadbury.”
