History

1952  former GI, Courtland E Parfet, returns to France to launch the first French Chewing Gum under the Hollywood Brand.

1958  first outdoor advertising focusing on the American dream.

1968  first TV advertising supporting the Hollywood brand.

1972  a new slogan is born for the Hollywood brand: “fraîcheur de vivre”(freshness of life). The brand communication strategy is based on three main values: freedom, youth and freshness.

1986  launch of new sugar free range : Hollywood light.

2000  Cadbury Schweppes’ chewing gum portofolio is strengthened with the acquisition of Hollywood.

2001  Hollywood keeps on innovating to meet consumers expectations (teeth protection, fresh breath).

2005  the Hollywood brand launches the first center-filled pellet with astonishing flavours (strawberry lime…).

2006  launch of a new sphere format (70 pellets) for those who look for a high quantity of chewing-gum.

2007  launch of a new premium offer : Style by Hollywood (a soft slab in a new trendy packaging).
