Procurement Business Services

SOURCE iconProcurement is an important part of the Supply Chain working with all areas of the business internally, and externally managing 1000’s of suppliers world-wide. Procurement Business Services buy all of the component parts needed to make the great Cadbury products we all love.  From the cocoa and nuts that create the bar, the machine that forms the bar, and the wraps and boxes that we tear open to get to the chocolate bar, we buy it all!  Plus we also support the business in more indirect ways by helping the business buy creative” (remember the gorilla? – whilst we can’t take the credit for the idea, we were busy working in the background with contracts and negotiations!), we also buy cars for our colleagues to travel in, phones so we can communicate, pens so we can write, computers so we can type…. the list goes on and on!  And we do this all, in order to create “brands people love”.

We work closely with other departments to provide the highest quality materials, to work with suppliers ensuring we are consistently providing new and innovative products whilst generating savings to the bottom line, whatever the market conditions. We operate as a global function within the Cadbury Supply Chain, with some items being purchased by the Cocoa beans imageteam in Britain & Ireland, such as milk and packaging and some items, such as cocoa and media by the global procurement team.  The graduate roles within B&I are focussed initially on local operational procurement with potential future opportunities for international moves and travel.

We will make sure that as a graduate you are always placed in real jobs, so that you can contribute and make a difference from the word go. We match up every new graduate with a mentor, an experienced manager who will work with you throughout your graduate scheme to research and plan your placements to create the right career foundation for you.

By the end of the 3 years, we would expect you to have gained a superior knowledge of the business, developed key procurement skills such as negotiating, relationship management, project management, financial acumen and problem solving and be ready to transition into a full sourcing manager role.
