Project Manager

"Cadbury has let me spread my wings and try things I never imagined I would be able to do."

"I started out as a manufacturing process engineer in Cadbury Trebor Bassett, handling various day to day responsibilities in the factory, involved in process improvement projects. It proved an excellent place to get grounding in the complex engineering that goes into producing and handling chocolate.

"I then became line manager for a number of products including Easter eggs and was responsible for 150 people working across several shifts. Through real teamwork and sheer determination we managed to cope with the commissioning of a whole new layout while also increasing production.

"I was then seconded to marketing, looking after Roses and Heroes - a great opportunity to bring my engineering perspective to bear on the idea generation stage of live marketing projects, and also to manage my own commercial projects, such as developing a new Heroes website.

"I have now finished my graduate placements and have gone back to manufacturing to work as a project manager on the implementation of Manufacturing Best Practice projects.

"Cadbury has let me spread my wings and try things I never imagined I would be able to do. I've created my own career path and met lots of interesting people along the way. My advice to anyone joining is to stretch yourself, and don't be afraid to give anything a go."
